ABOUT TAPROOT AUDIO

Jeffrey Reed has been in the mix for over 30 years. He cut his teeth at Malaco and Parallax Records in Jackson, Mississippi, then sharpened his ear at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee before founding Taproot Audio in 2002. His work spans music and film, from album masters to full Dolby Atmos post-production mixes, including an Emmy nomination for best historical documentary in 2018.

These days, Jeffrey operates out of Oxford, MS, "The Little Easy", where when he's not behind the console, he's probably on the water or cooking up a batch of his own hot sauce. That's the kind of guy he is: serious about the craft, genuinely easy to be around. Clients keep coming back because the work is excellent and Jeffrey makes the whole process feel collaborative, not clinical.
